Use of 17- and 30-degree abutments are giving us high aesthetic results in the aesthetic zone, the screw access holes are much palatal. Last 3 years we upgraded to digital intraoral scanner for high degree of recording the positions of implants and soft tissue around implants. Digital technology and inhouse Cone beam CT scan help us in planning cases. With digital impression technology we can make immediate impressions after surgery without causing any discomfort to the surgical site.
Digital scans are also helping us prepare surgical guides and also immediate temporary bridges by using PMMA 3D printing technology. All new technology is adding to accuracy in the clinical outcome, but also adding cost per procedure.
